The Distance Spike is our premium traction device for trail running, designed for fast-paced mountain movement—whether you’re bagging multiple 4,267-meter (14,000-foot) peaks or chasing a speed record on an Alpine summit.
The Distance Spike features an industry-first hybrid upper, combining a soft toe cap with a heel elastomer. This innovative toe cap ensures an optimal fit, exceptional packability, and effective snow protection. It also contributes to the Distance’s lightweight design, weighing in at just 115 grams per spike. Drawing on our extensive experience designing climbing crampons, the Distance Spike is equipped with 14 spikes—optimized at 8 mm in length—engineered for excellent grip on snow and ice, as well as enhanced stability on rock and hard surfaces. Made from heat-treated stainless steel, these spikes offer superior resistance to corrosion and wear.
