• Rust Prevention: All steels, regardless of quality or value, can eventually rust. To prevent corrosion, always keep your knife clean, dry, and lightly lubricated. If rust or stains do occur, a quality semi-chrome polish will usually restore the finish.

• Hand Wash Only: Always hand wash your knife with warm water and mild dish soap, then dry it thoroughly.

• Intended Use: Benchmade knives are precision cutting tools. Do not use your knife as a lever, screwdriver, chisel, or awl unless it is specifically designed for that purpose.

• Sharpen with Care: If you sharpen your knife yourself, avoid grinding wheels and high-speed machines, as these can damage the blade. Use proper hand sharpening methods for optimal results.

• Tightening the screws: Over time, the screws on the handle, pivot, and pocket clip may loosen. Use T6 and T10 Torx screwdrivers for adjustments and apply a small amount of removable threadlocker to maintain secure fastenings.
