Designed for the pursuit of passion, the Saddle Mountain Skinner 15002-1 is a premium fixed-blade hunting knife built for big-game hunters worldwide. Its newly redesigned, low-profile sheath provides a secure and convenient storage solution in your pack. Thanks to improvements in geometry, ergonomics, and material, the last cut is as easy as the first, thanks to Benchmade's new SelectEdge®. Over time, the Richlite®, a paper-based composite material, develops a natural patina, altering its original color. This patina is a natural product phenomenon and may darken or lighten depending on light exposure.

Designed with a specific purpose and built to last, the Saddle Mountain Skinner sets a new standard for durability and performance, matched only by our promise that it will be yours for life.

Every Benchmade knife is crafted from high-quality steel, laser-cut for precision and strength. Each blade is meticulously sharpened, beveled, and finished to exacting standards, ensuring exceptional performance and durability. Our handles are milled and machined in-house to very tight tolerances, then assembled and hand-sharpened by expert technicians. Backed by over 30 years of manufacturing excellence, our knives are proudly crafted in our state-of-the-art facility in Oregon City, Oregon.

Regular and proper care will keep your Benchmade knife looking its best for years to come. Here are a few tips to keep it in pristine condition:

Rust Prevention: All steels, regardless of quality or price, can eventually rust. To prevent corrosion, always keep your knife clean, dry, and lightly lubricated. If rust or stains do appear, a quality semi-chrome polish can usually restore the finish.

• Hand wash only: Always hand wash your knife with warm water and mild dish soap, then dry it thoroughly.

• Intended use: Benchmade knives are precision cutting tools. Do not use them as a lever, screwdriver, chisel, or awl unless specifically designed for that purpose.

• Sharpen carefully: If sharpening your blade at home, avoid grinding wheels and high-speed machines, as these can damage the blade. For best results, use proper hand sharpening methods.

• Tightening screws: Over time, the screws on the handle, pivot, and pocket clip may loosen. Use T6 and T10 Torx screwdrivers for adjustments and apply a small amount of removable threadlocker to secure the fasteners.
